3 Truths in 3 Lines
“The King David shall joy in your strength, O’ Lord; and in your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
You have given him his heart’s desire, you have not withheld the request of his lips.
For you send blessings of good things to meet him; You set a crown of pure gold on his head.”
In 2015 I joined an online group of women that challenged each other to memorize 24 verses within the year.
It was such a rewarding experience!
I chose verses that had special meaning to me and then memorized them, (usually putting them to the tune of a song.) Now, after a year of constant repetition, those 24 verses are engrained in my heart so deeply.
There is a reason why God tells us to, “Meditate on the word of God day and night!”
If you’re struggling with fear- God’s got something to say in the bible that will infuse you with faith. (1 John 4:18)
If you’re dealing with horrible anxiety, He shows us how to overcome that, too! (Philippians 4:6-7.)
Right now I’m in a season where I want to remember what God has done for me. Remember what I have because I have made Jesus my savior. So with that being said- I am currently memorizing Psalm 21: 1-3.
Check out this beautiful truth. This truth is for you!
1. “The King David shall joy in your strength, Lord; and in your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!”…. We can be happy in God’s strength and the fact that if we’ve said YES to God, we’re saved. We have eternal life. Now, that alone is worth being happy about!
2. “You have given him his heart’s desire, you have not withheld the request of his lips”…Think about it. How many prayers have you prayed that God has answered? So many!
3. “For you send blessings of good things to meet him; You set a crown of pure gold on his head”…Look at this verse. God sends blessings of good things to meet you. Imagine perfectly wrapped presents floating through the air- landing on your doorstep. God is ready to put a crown of pure gold on your head. He loves to bless you.
Let’s grow strong in the joy of our salvation. Let’s remember all the prayers he’s already answered. Let’s open-arms receive our blessings.
// Lord, thank you for teaching us 3 truths in 3 lines of scripture. The bible taught us today that you are strong, faithful, and ready to bless us. Help us to be a blessing to others, today!
