A Letter to my Friend, 2015
Last January I started this blog and set out on an adventure I’d wanted to take for years.
Today I’m sitting right where this journey began- my black desk chair, 51 weeks later. Since this year is coming to it’s close, I’ve decided to write 2015 a letter. Writing a letter to a number, not a person? I know this sounds strange. 🙂 However, I have a few things I’d like to tell her. So here it goes…
Hellooo…it’s me. (No, I won’t do that to you. Don’t want you to get that song stuck in your head again! Hehe)
You have been a wild ride! And by wild, I mean slow paced, steady growing, and even. You really weren’t wild at all. 🙂 Looking back on you, I realize what a gift you were to me. The days I wanted my life to move quicker you grew me in patience. The months I felt stagnant you grew me in persistence. You were a step-by-step, mountain climbing kind of year. You taught me 100 new things about myself. You challenged me and inspired me. Thank you for being my most memorable year.
You all know what I’m about to say… that letter was from me to God. He brought so much insight into my life this year. // Thank you Lord, I learned so much about You in 2015!
I mostly write about topics on a broader scale. Today’s post was a little personal. Just wanted to share a bit of my heart with you!
// Lord, thank you for all you taught us this year. I pray we feel Your LOVE more than ever this coming 2016!
